AI tool pricing changes this week: Claude Max becomes Ultra, ChatGPT Pro adds API credits, Copilot joins GitHub Enterprise
Published · Facts checked against official vendor pages on November 2, 2026 · Rankings are independent of sponsorships
Every Monday we re-read the official pricing page of every tool on ToolTier. This week we checked 146 tools and re-verified 137 of them. No list price went up or down, but three big vendors changed what you get for the money: Anthropic renamed its Max plans, OpenAI added API credits to ChatGPT Pro and Business, and GitHub started bundling Copilot into GitHub Enterprise. Every number below comes from the vendor's own page, read on November 2, 2026.

The short version
Claude: Max 5x is now just Max ($100/month) and Max 20x is now Ultra ($200/month). Ultra lists 10x Pro usage per week, and verified Ultra accounts have no 5-hour limit.
ChatGPT: Pro includes $100, $200 or $500 a month in OpenAI API credits, matching its tier. Business gets $20 per Standard seat or $100 per Premium seat, capped at $500 per workspace.
GitHub Copilot: enterprises working with a GitHub or Microsoft account team can get Copilot included with GitHub Enterprise and pay for usage, not seats. Individual plans are unchanged.
Roomote: the site now lists only self-hosted pricing. The $49/month Roomote Cloud plan we listed last week is gone from the page.
Claude: Max 20x is now Ultra, with no 5-hour limit
On October 30, Anthropic renamed its two Max plans. Max 5x is now Max, still $100 a month, and Max 20x is now Ultra, still $200 a month. Existing Max 20x subscribers move to Ultra automatically, with no price change.
The plan details changed along with the names. Last week, Claude's pricing page described Max as 5x or 20x Pro usage per 5-hour session. Now Max is listed at 5x Pro usage every 5 hours and every week, and Ultra at 10x Pro usage every week with no 5-hour limit for verified accounts. So Ultra is now defined by a weekly budget instead of a per-session multiplier. Anthropic's help center says Ultra accounts are verified automatically from account and payment history, and an unverified account keeps a temporary limit until then. Ultra is billed monthly only.
Both plans include Fable, Anthropic's top model, for up to half your weekly limit, plus Claude Platform API credits: $100 a month on Max and $200 on Ultra. If you run Claude Code all day, the missing 5-hour cap is the practical change: you can burn through a long session without waiting for a reset, as long as you stay inside the weekly limit. Full plan details are on our Claude page.
ChatGPT Pro and Business now come with API credits
Since October 28, eligible ChatGPT Pro and Business subscriptions can claim free OpenAI API credits. OpenAI's docs list the amounts: Pro at $100 a month gets $100 in credits, Pro at $200 gets $200, and Pro at $500 gets $500. Business gets $20 per paid Standard seat and $100 per paid Premium seat, pooled and capped at $500 per workspace per month.
There are conditions. The subscription has to be paid (not a trial) and at least seven days old, you must own both it and the API organization, using the same email, and unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle. The first grant is prorated. You claim it once, from ChatGPT billing settings or the API Platform billing page.
That puts ChatGPT Pro and Claude's top plans on similar terms: at $200 a month, both include $200 of API credit on top of the chat and coding agent. If you build with the OpenAI Agents SDK or run Codex with an API key, that credit covers real usage. See the ChatGPT page for plan prices.
GitHub Enterprise now includes Copilot
On October 28, GitHub said enterprises working with a GitHub or Microsoft account team can get Copilot included with GitHub Enterprise for every licensed user. Instead of buying Copilot seats, AI usage is metered from the first request against the enterprise budget. Completions and next edit suggestions keep working when the budget runs out; Chat, code review and Copilot in the cloud need budget. People in the enterprise without a GitHub Enterprise license can use Copilot Standalone at $10 per user per month.
This is not self-serve yet: GitHub says it is opening it to self-serve customers in stages, and Copilot Business and Copilot Enterprise stay on sale. Individual plans haven't changed: Free, Pro $10, Pro+ $39 and Max $100 a month, with $15, $70 and $200 a month in GitHub AI Credits on the paid plans. Details are on our GitHub Copilot page, and our free copilot-instructions.md for Next.js works on every plan.
Roomote no longer lists a Cloud plan
Last Monday, Roomote's pricing page offered Roomote Cloud with a free 7-day trial, then from $49 a month, next to self-hosted licenses. Today the page shows only self-hosted pricing: free for up to 10 users, $249 a month for 11 to 50 users, $499 a month for 51 to 100, and custom above that. You bring your own infrastructure and model keys. We haven't found an announcement explaining the change, so we've only updated the prices and added a note on the Roomote page.
Smaller changes and newly verified prices
A few other pricing pages changed in ways worth knowing:
- Higgsfield's pricing page now renders for us, so we've replaced "unverified" with real prices: a free plan with limited use, Starter $19/month (270 credits), Plus $59/month or $47/month billed yearly (1,200 credits) and Ultra $129/month or $99/month billed yearly (3,000 credits). See Higgsfield.
- Kiro replaced its $20 sign-up credit with a new trial: the first time you upgrade from Free to Pro, the rest of that month is free and you get 500 trial credits to use within 12 months. Plan prices are unchanged. See Kiro.
- Kling's monthly list prices are unchanged ($10, $37, $207 and $619), but the first-month discount on Premier and Ultra+ dropped from 35% to 30%, so the first month now costs $144.99 and $432.99 (was $135 and $402). See Kling AI.
- ElevenLabs is running a $1 first month on Starter (shown as 83% off the usual $6). Regular prices are unchanged. See ElevenLabs.
- Kimi K3.1 Pro: Moonshot still says the full weights will be released by November 4. As of today they aren't on Moonshot's Hugging Face page yet. API prices are unchanged at $2 / $10 per 1M tokens. See Kimi.
- Cursor's model docs still don't list GPT-6.1 Terra (they list GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra and Luna), while GitHub Copilot already offers it. See Cursor.
How we check, and what we couldn't verify
Each Monday we load every tool's official pricing page in a real browser, compare it with last week's copy and with our listing, and click monthly/yearly toggles where prices hide behind them. We only change a price when the vendor's own page shows the change. Tiers never move automatically: big pricing or status changes go to a human review first, and none of this week's changes moved a tier.
This week we couldn't confirm current prices for 9 tools, because their pages were blocked or didn't show plan prices: Meta AI, Amp, Relevance AI, Groq, Hume AI, Hailuo AI, Qwen, Stability AI and Canva AI. Those listings keep their earlier check date. The changelog has dated, sourced entries for the Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot changes. If you're putting new Claude or ChatGPT API credits to work on agents, the Agent Builder pack and the Claude Code agent configs are a fast start.
